Vekrun documentation

Vekrun is a free, open-source AI-native terminal. You code with the AI models you choose, pick up your assigned tickets, review pull requests and hand larger work to coordinated coding agents, all in one application.

Vekrun is in development. There are no public releases yet; everything described here is what the development build does on macOS.

  • Pages without a note describe things that work today in the development build.
  • A page that opens with a Planned note describes a feature that is not built yet. It explains the intent and links to the roadmap; it never gives steps you cannot follow.

If a page and the application disagree, the application is right and the page needs a fix.

  • Getting started: install, first launch, connect an AI, open a project.
  • Terminal: shells, tabs and splits, SSH, keybindings, customization.
  • AI coding: choosing models, coding sessions, editing code, permissions.
  • Board and integrations: connect a tracker, see your tickets, Start Work, status sync.
  • AI Teams: planning, Council, Factory, running and reviewing agent tasks.
  • Git and code reviews: branches, worktrees, pull requests, AI reviews.
  • Settings and privacy: providers, credentials, data storage, permissions.
  • Advanced: architecture, internals, agent runtime, MCP, remote workers, APIs, contributing, progress.
