Data storage

Vekrun is local-first. Everything it keeps is on your disk, under your account.

  • Settings, in layers: built-in defaults, your global settings, then per-project settings.
  • Sessions and their timelines.
  • Memories, with their scope and where each came from.
  • Snapshots of uncommitted work taken before risky steps.
  • A record of every permission decision and every action taken.
  • Terminal layout and scrollback for restoring your session.

Nothing is sent to a Vekrun service. There is no account and no telemetry.

Remove a provider to delete its key. Delete memories from the Memory panel. Snapshots have retention and storage controls.
